Dr. Mark Craig MBChB BSc MRCS FRCGP FRNZCGP
Mark is from Essex, UK, trained at Edinburgh Medical School and dabbled in overseas medicine in India and Malawi before doing four years of Ear Nose and Throat surgery training. Subsequently, he trained in General Practice in North London. After moving to New Zealand in 2010 for a change of scene, he worked at a high needs practice in Grey Lynn in Auckland for 7 years before shifting to Four Kauri Medical Centre in Mount Albert in 2018. He has 2 boys aged 8 and 10 and regularly takes part in bicycle, swim, run and adventure races, having also represented New Zealand in age group World Triathlon finals.
He currently works in General Practice, and has a particular interest in using plant-based diets to help reverse and prevent chronic disease. He gives talks on the topic locally to interested groups.
He became interested in lifestyle medicine and plant based nutrition after being introduced by a colleague in 2012 and realised that this was the missing link in his medical education.
He remains keen to start up a ‘True South’ health facility specialising in lifestyle and plant based medicine!
