Morgen graduated Cum Laude from York University with a Specialised Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. Morgen is an exercise physiologist and a certified strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association of America – a world-recognised certifying body for fitness professionals.
Morgen has been teaching a plant-based community education programme in Gisborne for the past several years. This programme is currently run by the Plant Based New Zealand Health Trust in partnership with Turanga Health, Eastland Community Trust, and Eastland Institute of Technology. It is currently focused on the use of the plant-based diet for diabetes.
Since learning about its benefits, Morgen has become passionate about the plant-based lifestyle. She believes that it will be crucial in securing a healthy future for individuals and for the planet.
